Advance notice is highly recommended with at least 1 day being preferred. Same day appointments are rarely available unless you are an established client, but do not feel you can't ask, as you never know.
I am not interested in negotiating my fees, they are a set amount that I am happy with. If you want to haggle, the answer will be always no, as I am not a used car to be bartered for !
